The International Magicians Society honored the stars of the Hamner Barber Variety Show with its prestiguous Merlin Award as "International Entertainers of the Year" for the Hamners and "International Ventriloquist of the Year" for Jim Barber. BransonCritic selected the production as their pick for "Must See Show of the Year," and Branson Christian News chose it as "Best Branson Variety Show."
